With Sentillion, Microsoft enters the EHR arena

Microsoft has acquired Sentillion Inc., a privately held company specializing in software for the healthcare industry.  In doing so, Microsoft has joined Google, IBM, Dell, General Electric, Siemens, McKesson and Cerner in their collective rush to profit from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act designation of $19 billion for healthcare information technology.

What’s hindering EHR adoption? Uncertainty
